Sam – you have done a fabulous job with this series of images at the Chihily garden. This viewer likes the top image with color in the sky so much better than the desaturated version below. Background color is important to the context of the glass – which you have captured masterfully in this series. These are some of my favorite photos of Seattle…

Thank you, and you’re very kind. Yesterday’s trip, which found me inside the place instead of peering longingly over the hedge, was jaw-dropping. How have I gone so many years without encountering Chihuly’s work?
And I like the top one better, too. I thought, given the grayness of the day, I’d go all-in with the bleach and see what happened. And see what others think.
