This is giving me flashbacks … I like the time I spent in Seattle, now almost 25 years ago. Nice work on the image. Bet it took quite a while to iso the red …

Less than you’d think, actually. I used the infrared filter and selected the red out. There was a little cleanup after that, but it was actually fairly quick.

A slightly edited take – Dawn didn’t like the red shoe.

You cropped out half of wino guy’s pigeon flock and the 2nd story window box fan…that’s fine, I didn’t know them well enough to miss them (G).
Oriental lady’s red shoe was distracting I agree, and I kind of hope that Ned Beatty looking guy in the right foreground is about to slip on a banana peel. I don’t know why, he’s just annoying.

Agreed – leave those other details in the image to the right of red coat guy. It finishes the story.

I do like it better without the red shoe… thanks for trying that version as well.

Great fun, Sam. I agree with the others asking to reclaim the cropped right. Not just the pigeons, but the “no parking” sign says a lot about something. Not sure what, but something. Good shot. Seattle should just delight you with opportunities.

Actually, I didn’t crop the right at all. When you plug that shot into the comments you have to reduce the size because it won’t automatically resize. So the only difference between the original and the updated shots is the red shoe. Sorry for the confusion.
