The top one is my pick Sam, beautiful perspective and symmetry of the color palette and the unique patterns within each. That’s a chest puffer there!

Thanks. Not sure I think it’s that good, but I tried to make the best of an uncooperative sky.

Well you sure hit the rule of thirds, and that sky has a lot of drama going on in transition from Robins egg blue sunny behind the cedar to bruised plum and stormy grays over the auditorium’s red sandstone…I think it’s sandstone, it might be Lyons Colorado slate? Interesting history here, especially the last paragraph or two http://macky.colorado.edu/about/history/

If I nailed the thirds it was an accident. My camera has in-viewer composition guides that up until later that day I thought were thirds. Nope. Quarters. Nikon bastards. Had i realized this it would have been better composed.

About that sky. Am I right that Nik Color FX Pro 4 has a polarizer option? Would that help? I don’t know. I haven’t had a chance to get into the software yet.

It does. But the shot was taken with a polarizer filter. Probably shouldn’t have.
