I like that you did not try to pull any shadow detail out of the gap in the missing headlights. That absolute blackness there makes the shot almost … evil.

There is an energy to that car even in this state. Looks like it had a hard life…

you can’t but help make up stories as you look at this. the wireframe milk crate and wood block give the impression that this was under repair, below the engine, when Bonnie & Clyde drove by ans asked the owner if he’d like to go rob a bank and the guy said yes and got gunned down and was never able to finish the work on the car. you know?
